Chef Niño finds his partner

Knowing what instruments to use when cooking is important in creating the perfect dish. For chef Niño Logarta, it is important to cover all the bases, to know and understand the nitty-gritty of it all.

He initially started a different career path but eventually found that cooking was his true calling. "I took up Philosophy but my heart was not into it. I decided to quit and pursue something else. Since I love to cook, the most logical thing to take was culinary arts," he says

Starting as a service crew, Niño worked his way up to sous chef at Chef Laudico Culinary Services. Today, he is one of the hosts of Ka-Toque, a cooking show on QTV-11.

"Investing in good, high quality cookware is the first step to efficient, high performance cooking," says Niño. He found an ally in Kinox cookware. The company has been providing quality cookware since 1949. Filipinos have been using Kinox for over a decade.

Made of high-grade stainless steel, the Kinox cookware made by Metro Kitchenware, Inc. provides fast and even heat distribution for better cooking and its ergonomic designs make cooking easy and safe.

When asked what dish he likes to cook, Niño says Asian dishes rank high on his list especially Filipino food like kare-kare, which he admits, he can eat everyday.
