Frozen treats at the bayside


Ice cream parlors do have stories to tell. It is where kids’ share fun and laughter over sweet frozen concoctions with friends and family. And after so many years, Magnolia brings back these all-time favorite treats at its ice cream parlor now located at the San Miguel By The Bay at the bayside of the SM Mall of Asia.

Starting this month, the Magnolia Ice Cream Parlor will have on its menu delights such as Ernie and Bert, Black and White, Choo-choo train, Banana Split Fudge and Coney Island along with Peach Melba plus other cold desserts."It has been so much part of Filipino culture that one cannot simply outgrow it," says Mayo Alcon, Magnolia ice cream general manager.

After a 10-year hiatus, this is the first ice cream parlor carrying the brand. It retains the cozy feel and family-friendly atmosphere frequented by people who choose the place as a rendezvous after dinner, a day at the mall, late afternoon walk or late night stroll at the bayside.

The expanded menu also includes the following: ice cream cakes, tortes and pies; sundaes such as: Bumpy Rocky Road, Super Fudgy Brown Sundae, Pineapple Turnover and Capuccino, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Spiky Wheel Creamwich and Smores Cream; cobblers and parfaits made with all flavors of the brand; milkshakes with flavors such as: strawberry, vanilla, cookies and cream, peanut butter and dulche de leche; floats like: Black Cow, Brown Cow, Red Cow and Orange Cow.

Ice cream favorites include the Triple Chocolate Brownies, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Bar, Classic Chunkie Brownie, Classic Banana Split, Banoffee Parfait and Mudslide Overload. Also available are: Potong, Spinner, Pop-a-Cup, Rainbow Bar, Mochi and Party Cups. There are also an array of sandwiches to choose from.
