PRESIDENT Arroyo yesterday skipped the Team Unity "miting de avance" in Iloilo City last night after suffering from diarrhea and slight dehydration.

She skipped the TU rally in Cebu last Wednesday.

Cerge Remonde, head of the Presidential Management Staff, said Arroyo was exposed to extreme heat in Bohol when she inaugurated the Jagna Port and Jagna Circumferential Road.

He said Arroyo was no longer feeling well when they arrived in Cebu from Bohol.

Members of the Presidential Security Group medical team attended to Arroyo who stayed overnight at the Malacañang sa Sugbu in Cebu. She was given oral hydration fluids and medicines.

A Palace source said the President was also given intravenous fluid. Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña told TU supporters gathered at Fuente Osmeña gym that the President was "not feeling well" and would not be able to attend the event.

Remonde said the President might attend the miting de avance of TU in Makati tonight and in Marikina on Saturday night.
