Dougray Scott hunts vampires

FROM the producer of "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy comes the most action-packed and horrifying vampire movie to date. Titled "Perfect Creature," it stars Scottish actor Dougray Scott ("Mission: Impossible II," "Ever After," "Dark Water") in his most challenging role as a cop caught in the middle of a raging war between humans and vampires. Dark and dashing like his countryman Sean Connery, Scott was the first choice to play Wolverine in "X-Men" and a frontrunner to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond in "Casino Royale."

Originally from Glenrothes, Fife, Scott enrolled on a foundation course in drama and then went on to attend the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. He earned the college’s 1987 Most Promising Drama Student Award. He began his acting career in regional theater and television series "Soldier Soldier," and made his film debut in "Twin Town." His first major film roles were as Prince Henry in "Ever After" co-starring Drew Barrymore and the hero in the adaptation of Robert Harris’ novel "Enigma." In 1998, he was handpicked by Tom Cruise to be the villain in "Mission: Impossible II." His most recent Hollywood film credits include "Hitman" and "Dark Water." He also starred in the third season of "Desperate Housewives," as Teri Hatcher’s character’s new love interest.

Set during the 1960s in an alternate New Zealand known as Nuovo Zelandia, "Perfect Creature" takes audiences into a world where vampires and humans peacefully co-exist, with the bloodsuckers the next step in human evolution. This delicate balance looks to be destroyed when an influenza epidemic begins to sweep the human population and one vampire turns to preying on them. The Church sends out Silus to catch the renegade vampire, Edgar. Silus joins forces with a beautiful human police captain, and discovers that Edgar harbors more dark secrets than they could ever imagine.

Written and directed by Glenn Standring, "Perfect Creature" is filmed with utmost concerns on the authentic details of set designs, digital effects and fights scenes - all bizarre and extremely terrifying! Saffron Burrows, Leo Gregory and Scott Wills co-star.
