Hoseki wins int’l jewelry design tilt

Three Filipino jewelry designers from Hoseki garnered top awards at the prestigious Sixth International South Sea Pearl Jewelry Design Competition in Hong Kong.

The annual competition is organized by the South Sea Pearl Consortium and aims to highlight the beauty and uniqueness of the South Sea pearl while recognizing design talent from all over the world.

Hoseki founder Faico’s Fantasie Necklace, Hoseki young designer Knoi Esmane’s Phoenix Rising, and Faico’s talented son Ivan Co’s Force Bangle won over 700 entries from all over the world. The awards ceremony, sponsored by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held at the Hong Kong Convention Center.

Hoseki has consistently been winning South Sea Pearl design competitions since 1998. Faico, an active member of the Guild of Philippine Jewelers, has not only won the South Sea Pearl Design Competition three times, but was also one of the 17 international designers to be included in White Magic, a 2005 exhibit organized by the South Sea Pearl Consortium.
