Eddie Gutierrez
undergoes angioplasty
HAVE these two
beautiful, popular personalities kissed and make-up?
BPP 1 is an actress-turned-international beauty queen. BPP 2
was a former TV host and a daughter of a wine maker.
In any case, one time in their lives, they had an unfriendly
encounter. Why?
They were pining for the love of the same man, a celebrity
who is now happily living in with another celebrity and a doting dad to two
kids, a boy and a girl.
The two BPPs are now themselves happy with their own lives.
One of them (we won’t say who) is now married to a sports celebrity and is a
mother, too. The other BPP is separated from her husband but claims to be
contented with her career and her children.
When they saw each other in the past, recalled an eyewitness,
they seemed out to kill each other.
"Nagsabunutan pa. And this happened sa isang
social gathering," related our source. "Mabuti nga, cooler heads
intervened. Otherwise, the worst could have happened. And how!"

LJ Moreno (remember her?) is staging a showbiz comeback via
the new reality show on ABS-CBN, "Fear Factor." She is one of the 12 contestants
who went to Argentina to vie for the title "El Ultimo Participante."
LJ, 27, is now a pre-school teacher. She decided to continue
with her studies so she had to quit showbiz.
Away from showbiz, she was linked to two popular basketball
stars, who reportedly both offered to marry her.
LJ is a niece of Alma Moreno, the younger sister of LJ’s mom.
"My family depends on me," related LJ. "Kaya nga my
wish is to win in ‘Fear Factor’."
The "Fear Factor" winner gets, among others, a cash prize of
P2 million and a house and lot.
LJ is on leave from her teaching job.

Ruffa Gutierrez, as of this writing, is asking for prayers
from all of us. Her dad, actor Eddie Gutierrez, is currently at St. Luke’s
Hospital.
"I am worried for my dad," Ruffa said in a text message.
Last Wednesday, he underwent angioplasty.
Eddie was on the set of a teleserye he is currently
taping for GMA, when he reportedly felt chest pains. Annabelle Rama, his wife,
immediately rushed him to St. Luke’s.
Eddie just had a hectic week. Right after the birthday party
of Annabelle, which was held at several yachts, he and Annabelle flew to Bangkok
for a three-day vacation.
Upon returning, they left for Cebu for All Soul’s Day. All of
Annabelle’s departed relatives are buried in Cebu.
"Siguro na-over fatigue," said a friend of the
Gutierrezes.

Lani Mercado doesn’t mind a bit even if she is the third
choice to play the role formerly essayed by the late actress Nida Blanca in the
original movie version of "Saan Darating ang Umaga," which is being made into a
teleserye.
The actresses reportedly first offered the part were Lorna
Tolentino and Amy Austria.
Lorna could not accept the offer since she has an upcoming
series for ABS-CBN. Amy is said to be undergoing medical treatment so she could
have a baby. She and her non-showbiz husband have been married for a few years
now.
Said Lani: "I still feel lucky that I was chosen to play the
role. Although, I feel challenged dahil nga ang mga unang choices ay
sina Mareng LT (Lorna’s pet name) and Amy. They are known for their acting
talents.
"Ang masasabi ko lang, I’ll do my best."
"Saan Darating ang Umaga" will have Maryo de los Reyes, who directed its film
version, at the helm. |
