‘Ba’t ako na lang ng ako ang tinatanong n’yo tungkol sa pag-ibig? – Kristine Hermosa’

Kristine avoids being
asked about Oyo

AGA Muhlach and Charlene Gonzales looked the typical happy and proud parents as they assisted their twins, Atasha and Andres, entertain their guests at their seventh birthday last November 5.

It was the first big party for both and they were simply excited, especially when the invited guests, mostly their classmates in Grade 1 at an exclusive school in Ayala Alabang, gave them their gifts.

Atasha was wearing a white below-the-knee dress, which, according to Charlene, was designed and executed by Regine Tolentino, who owns a boutique along Gilmore.

"Children’s dresses, lalo’t pang batang babae, are really Regine’s specialty," said Charlene.

Regine, like Charlene, hosts a TV show. She’s one of the co-hosts of the early morning program of GMA 7, "Unang Hirit."

Charlene’s weekly program, "Proudly Filipina," is aired Fridays on Q Channel 11.

Atasha and Andres’ party was held at Jollibee on Madrigal Avenue in Alabang. Streamers greeting Atasha and Andres a happy birthday were all over the place.

Atasha and Andres, like their parents, are endorsers of Jollibee, the number one food chain in the country.

As expected, Jollibee products were served to the guests.

There were games galore. But what really fascinated not only the kids but also the medyo older visitors, mostly chaperones of the young guests, were the tricks of the young and friendly magician hired for the party.

As in all children’s party, there were loot bags for every young guest. They went home with not just one but two loot bags.

Two, because one loot gift came from Atasha while the other was from Andres.

The twins’ party served as a reunion for the Muhlachs.

Aga’s father, Cheng, came with his younger children. Aga’s elder sister, Arlene, who dabbles in movie and TV acting was there. Arlene, who is in the cast of "My Only Love," was with husband Warren Dandoy and their two kids, Aliya, 6 and Augusto, who will turn a year old – also with a party at the same Jollibee outlet – on Sunday, November 9. Aga’s younger brother, Albert, was with his stewardess-girlfriend.

Also present was Anton, Aga’s half-brother, who was with his father, Butch Bautista. He and Aga’s son, Igi Boy (mother is Janice de Belen), kept each other company. They are almost of the same age.

It was the first birthday of the twins minus Aga’s mom, Anita Aquino, who died last year, November 17.

"I won’t be around sa babang luksa ni Mama," Aga said.

Aga, Charlene and the twins left last Friday for Las Vegas, Nevada.

"We will be back on December 8. Tutal nandun na rin kami ni Charlene manonood na kami ng fight nina Pacquiao and Dela Joya," Aga related.

Oyo Boy Sotto and Kristine Hermosa are obviously keeping their romance low profile, although they are often seen everywhere together.

They avoid showing irritation whenever they are asked about their relationship, but there are times when Kristine would comment curtly: "Ba’t ako na lang ng ako ang tinatanong n’yo tungkol sa pag-ibig? Why don’t you ask ‘yung isa (apparently referring to Diether Ocampo), kung may bago na rin siyang mahal?"

Kristine used to play the leading lady of Vic Sotto, Oyo Boy’s dad, in Vic’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry. Now Vic got Carlene Aguilar for his partner.

Explained someone connected with the production: "If the film was a sequel to ‘Enteng Kabisote,’ Vic would have surely had Kristine for her partner. Kaso, ang entry ng MZET at APT Production ngayon is ‘Iskul Bukol.’ Kaya, bukod kay Carlene, kasama rin ni Vic sa pelikula sina Joey and Tito. And, of course, sina Miss Tapia and Bibeth Orteza."
