Drama in reality show’s elimination

The elimination in the reality show “The Final Cut: The Next David’s Salon Creative Stylist” has become one of the most interesting part of the program because it is fraught with a lot of drama and intrigue. Some of those who get the boot are bitter, while others who remain in the competition are suspicious of each other.

Take Eleine, Hubert and Nenita, three contestants who have bid the show adieu. Although Eleine was the jurors’ favorite in the fashion night, David’s Salon’s David Charlton decided to eliminate her because of complaints he heard from her model. Eleine took it hard, but not as hard as Hubert and Nenita, who were eliminated in last week’s episode, "The Print Media."

"I didn’t deserve to be eliminated, kasi I did good. Lahat nang ginawa ko tama. Actually disappointed ako sa model ko, sa mga jurors, kay Mr. David," Hubert said.

Nenita also believed that she was better than the others who stayed in the competition. "I’m sure may mas weak pa sa akin, kasi mas maganda ang ginawa ko kaysa sa kanila."

The remaining finalists are not sitting pretty. Some suspect that there’s already a winner and that each elimination day is just for the audience’s entertainment.

"Of course I have my own choices and I know their caliber," admits David’s top gun, "But it’s not always the flair, the skill and the passion that makes a creative stylist, it’s something that you’ll find in one’s character and that’s what I am looking for and you have to find out what it is," he clarifies.

The next episode, "Karera," will see the last six finalists racing their way to various branches of David’s Salon throughout Metro Manila. Time management, patience, as well as their agility and teamwork are put to the test. The six will be divided into two groups. The first group who finishes the task will be rewarded with a night out at IMAX Theater in SM Mall of Asia, while the loser will be up for the elimination. Though the challenge is also about partnership, only one gets to be eliminated. Who will be the next to go? Find out this Saturday in "The Final Cut: The Next David’s Salon Creative Stylist," 11 p.m. on QTV 11.
