TWO more products have been found by the
Bureau of Food and Drugs positive for melamine.
Lotte B+W Koala biscuit and Lotte chocolate
snack Koala biscuit were the fifth and sixth milk and milk
products found to contain melamine, an industrial chemical
used in the manufacture of plastics.
Melamine-contaminated milk in China has
downed some 54,000 persons and killed four infants.
Earlier found tainted with melamine were
Lotte Strawberry Snack Koala biscuit, Jollycow Slender High
Calcium Low Fat Milk (more calcium & Vitamin D (1 liter),
Greenfood Yili Fresh Milk, and Mengniu Drink.
BFAD cleared 22 other milk and milk
products for melamine, bringing the total number of cleared
products to 184.
