ANJOE Marudo says
his relationship with Mariel Rodriguez is getting stronger by the day simply
because they don’t put any pressure on each other. "We’re both busy kaya
araw-araw," he says. "But whenever I’m free, we have lunch after ‘Wowowee.’
No, we haven’t talked about weddings or settling down. Alam din kasi ni
Mariel na I’m helping my family kaya hindi pa ako ready
mag-asawa. Ine-enjoy lang namin what we have now."
What can he say about Mariel’s sexy pictorial for Hot Pink
Lingerie? Didn’t he object to her showing off her body?
"Walang problema sa’kin ‘yun, honest. Kung ako,
underwear model din sa Bench, bakit ko naman siya babawalan? Siguro
babawalan ko lang siya kung pangit ang katawan niya tapos gagawin niya. Siempre,
nakakahiya, ‘di ba? E, may papakita naman siya, so okay lang.
I’m proud of it nga kasi may karapatan naman siya. Bakit niya itatago?
What if Mariel becomes the object of fantasy of other guys?
"Okay rin lang ‘yun. Kung ang girlfriend mo,
pagpapantasyahan ng ibang mga lalaki, that means, she’s really something
at ang suwerte ko, ‘di ba?"
What if other guys would start courting her?
kanya. But right now, with us coming out in the open na kami na, palagay
Zanjoe is one of the busiest Kapamilya actors. He just
finished "Varga" with Mariel and is now also being seen in "Dyosa" with Anne
Curtis. He’s also the lead star in the Cinema One Halloween presentation,
"Altar," a spooky flick about a haunted house and restless spirits directed by
Rico Maria Ilarde that starts showing on Wednesday until November 4 at Robinsons
Indie Sine.

After playing leading lady to John Prats in a four-week
episode of "Your Song," Krista Ranillo now becomes a bona-fide Kapamilya as the
leading lady of Ryan Agoncillo in the afternoon soap, "Pieta."
"I play the role of Martha," she says. "Rich girl ako rito
and my mom is Helga, played by Lyka Ugarte. Kahit maton si Ryan as
Rigor, I fall in love with him dahil I have sympathy for the poor.
Kaso, ayaw ng mother ko sa kanya and she prefers Frank, played by
We heard she has a number of love scenes with Ryan. How does
this sit with her boyfriend, director Dominic Zapata who’s directing "La Lola"
on GMA-7?
"Okay lang sa kanya. He understands that it’s part of
my work as an actress.
Like when I posed sexy sa FHM, ayaw niya ‘yun and for a while,
ayaw niyang tingnan ‘yung pictures ko doon."
How is it working with Ryan?
"It’s a breeze kasi he’s a true professional. It’s
nice to work with him kasi he’s easy to get along with. At mahusay
siya, ha. To think he’s better known as a host. Pero dito, lumabas ang
pagka-actor niya."

Nadine Samonte says reports that she’s planning to move to
another network is not true.
"Happy naman ako sa GMA dahil sunod-sunod ang
projects ko," she says. "After ‘Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap,’ they gave me
‘Maging Akin Ka Lamang,’ then I was in ‘Kim Sam Soon,’ and now, sinundan agad
iyon nitong ‘Gagambino’."
Even with her love life, she is very much satisfied since she
has an ideal boyfriend in young businessman Emerson Chua, who owns a well-known
lechon store. "Bale three years na kami at never kaming
nagkaroon ng problems or away. Kasi cool lang siya lagi at
pareho kaming hindi jealous type. Kahit kung minsan, sobrang busy
ako sa trabaho at magdamagan ang taping ko, he understands the nature
of my work. We just make up later by going out together at namamasyal kami
with his family or with my family. Madalas nga, nagiging family
outing ang lakad namin, which is good naman kasi we get to know
each other’s families better."
She’s happy to be reunited with Dennis Trillo, her leading
man in "Kung Mahawi Man ang Ulap," in "Gagambino," where she plays his leading
lady. "Ang maganda, I can play any kind of role dahil sa ‘Kim Sam
assignments ko, which is what’s happening to me right now."

Jason Abalos won two best actor awards for his portrayal of
an aimless contractual worker in "Endo (End of Contract)," the Urian and the
Young Critics Circle. Now, he’s back playing Efren, a supporting role in "Pieta"
as one of the friends of lead actor Ryan Agoncillo.
"Okay lang naman ‘yun," he says. "‘Pieta’ is an
action-drama and I’m happy to be part of it. Malayo sa mga ibang nagawa ko na.
Also, I welcome working with Ryan and Ms. Cherie Gil na siyang leads
dito.
It’s also an experience working with action director Toto Natividad dahil
nate-train niya akong gumawa ng action scenes. After this, lead
naman ang role ko sa ‘Eva Fonda’ as one of the leading men of
Cristine Reyes. Dito sa ‘Pieta’ kasi, wala akong kapareha, so
babawi na lang ako kay Cristine."
He seems to enjoy working with Cristine?
"Oo naman. Sexy na, mabait at mahusay makisama.
Pagnanasaan mo talaga."
How come he was linked to a gay businessman?
"Tinatawanan ko lang ‘yun kasi may nakakitang we’re
having dinner at sinulat na kami na raw. The truth is it’s a business
meeting at kinukuha niya akong endorser ng product niya, a
cologne. ‘Yun lang ‘yon."

How come Polo Ravales accepted playing villain to Dennis
Trillo in "Gagambino" when he already played the lead in the afternoon soap "Maging
Akin Ka Lamang"?
"Okay lang ‘yun," he says. "I’m a good soldier at
kung saan man ako ilagay ng GMA, I trust their judgment. Nasa prime
time naman ang ‘Gagambino’ and also, maganda rin ang role ko
as Harold, friend ni Dennis who has the power of the uwang or
beetle."
Is it true he and Jean Garcia broke up because of their "Gagambino"
co-star, Krissa Mae?
"How can we break up? Did we ever say na kami na nga?
Sinasabing nagkagalit kami and she’s not talking to me anymore. Jean and I
are together not only in ‘Gagambino’ but also in the movie ‘Walang Kawala’ which
we’re now promoting. Kaya imposibleng maging magkagalit kami."
Did he consult Jean first before accepting his gay role in "Walang
Kawala"?
"Hindi na kailangan. I played a gay role before in the
‘Manay Po’ movies. ‘Yun nga lang, comedy ‘yun. This time, mas
serious ang ‘Walang Kawala’ about two best friends na may
kakaibang relasyon, kami ni Joseph Bitangcol."
What did he feel in his torrid kissing scenes with Joseph?
"Wala. How can I feel anything, e pareho kaming
lalaki. Nabasa ko naman ang script kaya alam kong we’ll do such
scenes. Inisip ko na lang na trabaho ko ‘yun as an actor."
Is it a real "laplapan" scene where not only their
lips but also tongues meet?
"Si Joseph, kumawala ang dila niya. Ako, hindi,"
he laughs. "Siguro he got carried away."
Could it be that Joseph enjoyed doing the scene?
"Why? Bading ba si Joseph? Hindi naman, ah. Kasama
ko pa ngang man-chicks ‘yan. Talagang isinapuso niya lang ang
roles namin. Hindi kami masasarapan dahil pareho kaming boy. Mas
masarap pa ring kahalikan ang babae."
His costume is "Gagambino" is too tight and he looks
uncomfortable in it.
"Hindi naman uncomfortable. Nako-conscious
hinuhubaran ako and they’re trying to size me up. But as the taping went
along, nasanay na rin ako."

Our colleague Aster Amoyo has formally filed a case against
Rose Flaminiano (RF) and her RALF Realty and Management Corporation, developer
of Rosemont Executive Villas in Tarlac. RF asked Aster to help launch Rosement
and Aster got Judy Ann Santos, Ara Mina, Aubrey Miles, Maui Taylor and the late
Rudy Fernandez as endorsers. Aster got a unit there and filled up a Pag-ibig
Housing application form that she gave to RF. But she changed her mind as the
place is too far for her. RF said it’s okay. What Aster didn’t know is that RF
still filed her application with Pag-ibig and got the loan meant for her. In
2006, Aster got the shock of her life when she got a billing statement from
Pag-ibig. She immediately called RF about it, who told her to just not mind it.
She considers RF a friend, but she started to have doubts about her. Last
August, she got a final demand letter from Pag-ibig telling her that her unit in
Rosemont has been foreclosed and she’s now a blacklisted Pag-ibig member for not
paying her loan. Aster found out RF got a loan of P1.533 million from Pag-ibig
using her name. The same thing happened with the stars who also signed an
application loan that they gave to the producer.
"I’m suing her not because I want to get the unit but because
I want her to clear my name," says Aster. "I’ve been a Pag-ibig member since
1981 and I owe them nothing, tapos biglang dinumihan niya ang record
ko."
Meantime, we’ve been receiving a lot of emails from readers
and no one has sided with RF so far. Here are some of them. From Corita Ging:
"The case filed by Aster Amoyo and other stars is a vindication for Gabby
Concepcion as it shows the woman is really not transparent in her dealings. From
now on, people will think twice before they deal with her. I somehow pity Cristy
Fermin who is championing her cause. She put her stakes on the wrong bet. And
Mrs. RF is also dehado now with Cristy as her defender as she no longer
has a radio program and TV show where she can also defend RF."
I understand Ms. Amoyo kasi pati contributions niya sa
Pag-ibig Fund, nadamay pa and she cannot get any benefits from them
From Junjie K. M.: "Paano pa kaya ipagtatanggol ni
pagiging manloloko nito? Ano ba yan? Sabay pa silang inabot ng kamalasan.
Twin sisters yata sila kasi they look alike sa hitsura. Talagang lahat
From Darling October: "The lesson here is: Don’t mess around
with other people’s money. What goes around comes around. Remember: God is
always watching us!"

ABS-CBN Star Magic’s Rikka Dylim hosted lunch for talents who
just signed up to be managed by them. Only comedian Kitkat is the grown up and
the others are all kids who used to be under Star Records.
"They’re the new additions to the Star Magic family and we
all welcome them," says Rikka, who’s taking a long vacation in the US with her
daughter soon.
Kitkat turns 24 on Sept. 23 and is the breadwinner in her
family. "Nasa akin ang parents ko, ang auntie ko’t anak niya,
and my younger sister na I’m sending to college taking up architecture,"
she says. "Noon ko pa dream mag-artista. Nag-audition ako sa
ABS pero hindi ako nakuha. Then I started working as comedian host
sa Punchline at dun ako na-discover ng ABS."
She has so far done three movies: "Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah," "My
Kuya’s Wedding" and "Supahpapalicious." "I’m now shooting ‘My Only U’ as a best
friend of Toni Gonzaga," she says. "Married ako rito kay Empoy at
under the saya siya sa’kin."
When she celebrated her birthday last month, the highlight
was when Susan Roces showed up to greet her. "Naging close friends
kami while doing ‘Patayin Mo sa Sindak si Barbara’ and itong ‘Iisa Pa
Lamang.’ Ang bait-bait niya talaga. I’m thankful to ABS kasi sa
‘Iisa Pa Lamang,’ hindi na ako basta comedian kundi they gave me a
chance to do drama. Iyak ako ng iyak dito."
Kitkat is now also in DZMM’s comedy show, "LOL (Laugh Out
Loud)" and is the endorser of CD Jeans Direct Selling and Met-Thatione.
