Noy likens love life to Coke variants
PRESIDENT Aquino on Wednesday night compared his love life to Coca-Cola – from regular, to light and now, zero.
Aquino cracked the joke during his meeting with the Filipino community and during an informal interaction with the Philippine media late Wednesday night.
"May nagtanong, sabi, kumusta ang love life mo? (Somebody asked, how’s your love life?) Sabi ko parang Coca-Cola (I said, it’s like Coca-Cola): it used to be regular, it became light, and now, it’s zero," he said.
The remark elicited laughter from the crowd.
But the journalists had a follow-up question: Couldn’t he have likened his love life to Pepsi, whose slogan is "Ask for more" or even the smallest size of Coke, locally called "Sakto"?
"Sige, approaching zero kung ayaw n’yong zero," he said, laughing.
The bachelor president’s remarks about his love life have spread even to the international news agencies and the social media.
There were wise cracks on Facebook and Twitter that his love life or sex life may be likened to San Miguel Beer. It’s "super dry," they said.
In contrast, Aquino’s predecessor, Gloria Arroyo, replied when she was asked in October 2002 about her sex life: "Plenty." – Regina Bengco
