Join the Salsa fever!


Latin dance enthusiasts are invited to join the "Salsa Competition," which aims to keep the spirit of the lively Latin dance alive. The competition in the professional division is held Thursday nights at 9 at the Mezze Bar & Bistro in Greenbelt 3, Makati.

Competition in the amateur (Pro-AM) division goes on Saturdays, 9 p.m. at Schwarzwalder Restaurant at the Atrium corner Makati Avenue, Paseo de Roxas. Grand finals will be held on November 8 also at Schwarzwalder Restaurant.

The Grand Champions will win a two-night free pass for two at the "Manila International Salsa Festival" at Esplanade, Mall of Asia on November 15 and 16 and various gift certificates and prizes from sponsors.

"Manila International Salsa Festival" will feature salsa performers from around the world, including world-famous Salsa Prince Ismael Otero. In a showcase of grace, agility and showmanship, they will perform different variations of Salsa and prove why Salsa has become one of the most enduring dances to date.

A welcome party for the Salsa foreign delegates will be held on the night of November 14 at the Traders Hotel poolside.

Salsa virgins and dance enthusiasts are encouraged to join an informal dance networking where salsa instructions will give free lessons every Thursday at Mezze and every MONDAY |SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 | PHILIPPINESat Schwarzwalder Restaurant from 8 to 9 p.m.
