'I heard she was
mobbed by the crowd who went to watch the movie. - Richard Gutierrez'
|
Richard regrets
not being with KC
AT least, we heard of
three TV game show hosts who are reportedly eager to run either for a national
or local post in the coming elections. Yes, in 2010.
Well, let's just hope and pray that running for elections is
not just a game for them.

Richard Gutierrez regrets that he was unable to join KC
Concepcion, who attended the premiere showing of their first movie together,
"For the First Time," both in Los Angeles, California and in San Francisco.
"I heard she was mobbed by the crowd who went to watch the
movie," Richard said. "Nanood kasi ang mga auntie ko na nakatira
in both states. And they were wondering why I was not with KC.
"Busy kasi ako for my taping for my series, 'Codename:
Asero.'"
But he will definitely be with KC for the premiere of "For
the First Time" in Vienna, Austria. They are leaving before September 25, which
is the date of the premiere.

Richard denied that he's now solely endorsing Emperador
Brandy. In the past ad of this liquor, Richard had for his co-endorsers his dad,
actor Eddie Gutierrez, and brothers, Rocky, Elvis and Raymond (his twin
brother).
"The ad of the brandy which has been coming out lately with
me alone in the layout is a tactical promotion of the product. They are
conducting a contest where Emperador buyers can win P250,000, which can serve as
a starting capital for a negosyo they want to put up."
Titled "Tagumpay sa Negosyo," the people behind Emperador
Brandy said that in a survey they had recently conducted, they discovered that
most college graduates, who are of Richard's age, 23, want to put up a business
of his own.
To help new entrepreneurs, Emperador Brandy also hired
successful entrepreneurs to guide the new ones in their endeavors.
"Gusto ko ang purpose ng contest na ito ng
Emperador Brandy," said Richard. "Ang laking tulong ito sa kabataang
Pilipino. The more winners they produce, the more new entrepreneurs we will
have."
Richard was asked if he really drinks brandy.
"Yes, I do," he answered. "But only moderately. And I usually
do it with my family. At sa bahay kami nag-iinuman."

Angelica Panganiban started young in showbiz. At the age of
nine, she already did a movie called "Antipolo Massacre" produced by the Golden
couple, Donna Villa and Direk Carlo Caparas. She said she never had
difficulty relating to her work since then.
"Siguro, it's because I truly love being an actress,"
she said. "Kahit noong bata pa ako at ginagawa ko 'yong 'Antipolo
Massacre,' excited ako tuwing may shooting. The set was my home and
everyone around was my family."
"Antipolo Massacre," Angelica recalled, co-starred her with
Cesar Montano, Dawn Zulueta and Liezel Martinez.
Angelica could not remember a time when she was not in the
spotlight. She said that 2006 and 2007 were definitely her busiest years and her
coming of age, too.
Last year, she appeared in the movie, "A Love Story," pitting
talents with Maricel Soriano and Aga Muhlach, two actors who she admires and
respects.
"They made me realize I had so much to give as a performer,"
she said.
For her performance as the young wife of Aga, who was more in
love with another woman older than his wife, Angelica won a nomination for Best
Actress in the coming Luna Awards.
"Guess who I'm competing with for the said award," she
laughed. "Maricel Soriano."
Aga is nominated for Best Actor.
Right now, she plays kontrabida to Claudine Barretto
in the series, "Iisa Pa Lamang."
"As Ate Claudine's torturer, people ask me how I can be so
callous as Scarlet. Mukha daw kasi akong mabait. Sagot ko nga, iyan ang akala
n'yo," again, she said laughing.
Where her love life is concerned, she thinks she's lucky to
have a great relationship with Derek Ramsey.
Is marriage in the offing?
"Not yet," she answered. "I think its enough muna that
Derek and I are happy together." |
